Cancellation and Refund Policy

At Serene Scene Events, we put significant time, creativity, and resources into preparing for every event. Because of this, we have established the following cancellation and refund policy to protect both our clients and our business.

Booking and Deposit

All bookings require a non-refundable deposit to secure your event date. The deposit amount will be outlined in your service agreement at the time of booking.

Your date is not reserved until your signed contract and deposit have been received. Deposits are applied toward the total balance of your event services.

Important: The deposit is non-refundable under all circumstances, as it compensates Serene Scene Events for reserving your date and declining other bookings.

Cancellation Timeline and Refunds

Cancellation 30+ Days Before the Event

If you cancel 30 or more days before your event date, you will forfeit your deposit. Any additional payments made beyond the deposit will be refunded in full.

Cancellation Fewer Than 14 Days Before the Event

Cancellations made within 14 days of the event will result in forfeiture of the full amount paid. At this stage, materials, staffing, and design work are typically fully committed and cannot be recovered.

 

Rescheduling

We understand that life happens. If you need to reschedule your event, please contact us as soon as possible. Rescheduling is subject to availability and must be requested at least 30 days in advance.

  • One complimentary reschedule is permitted per booking (subject to availability).
  • Rescheduling requests made fewer than 30 days before the event may be treated as a cancellation and subject to the cancellation terms above.
  • Your deposit will transfer to the new date if rescheduled within a mutually agreed timeframe.

 

Custom Orders

Custom balloon arrangements, specialty décor, and made-to-order installations require additional lead time and materials. For these orders:

  • Orders cannot be cancelled once materials have been purchased or production has begun.
  • Any cancellation of a custom order after materials are sourced will result in forfeiture of all amounts paid.
  • Custom order timelines will be outlined in your service agreement.

 

Cancellation by Serene Scene Events

In the unlikely event that Serene Scene Events must cancel due to unforeseen circumstances (including illness, emergency, or force majeure), we will:

  • Notify you as soon as possible
  • Offer a full refund of all payments made, including the deposit
  • Make every effort to refer you to a qualified alternative vendor if time permits

 

Force Majeure

Neither party shall be held liable for failure to perform due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, severe weather, government mandates, or public health emergencies. In such cases, rescheduling is strongly encouraged; refunds will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

 

How to Cancel or Reschedule

All cancellation and reschedule requests must be submitted in writing via email to:

The date your written notice is received will be used to determine the applicable cancellation window.

 

Refund Processing

Approved refunds will be processed within 7–10 business days of the cancellation confirmation. Refunds will be returned via the original payment method unless otherwise arranged.

 

Agreement to Policy

By signing a service agreement and submitting a deposit to Serene Scene Events, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the terms of this Cancellation & Refund Policy.
